Funeral Services for Wiley Carpenter Jr is Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Interment is at Liberty Cemetery, McKenzie, TN, Brother Ed Long is the officiant.

Mr. Carpenter, a landscaper, 82 years old, died Friday, November 15, 2019, surrounded by his family at Christian Care Center. He was born on August 11, 1937 to Wiley “Buck” and Margaret Simpson Carpenter. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Betsy Carpenter, triplets Lisa, Teresa, Ernestine Carpenter, a sister Mabel Spears and two brothers Sonny Carpenter and Otis Carpenter.

He is survived by his daughters Kathy ( Tim) Buttery of Middlesboro, KY, Marquetta ( Curtis Smith) Carpenter of Middlesboro, KY, Judy (Michael) Mills of Harrogate, TN and Shannon (David) Tucker of McKenzie, a son Bo (Melissa) Carpenter of Huntingdon, sisters Paula Lacefield of Indianapolis, IN, Patsy Turner of Sheridan, IN and Pauline Wyrick of Middlesboro, KY, a brother Jackie Ray Carpenter of Indianapolis, IN, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, mother of seven of the children Edna Carpenter of Middlesboro, KY and close friends Walter Irvin, Arlis and Brenda Turner.
