Warren C. Hartz, Sr

Funeral Services for Warren C. Hartz, Sr is Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday 10:00 a.m. until service time. Brother Dennis Trull is the officiant and internment is at Carroll Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Hartz, age 91, died Saturday at his residence. He is a retired engineer for R.J. Reynolds, later to become Norandol and now Granges, a member of First Baptist Church McKenzie where he served as a deacon and is a Gideon. Mr. Hartz was born in Portsmouth, OH on May 12, 1928 to Warren J. and Addie Rebecca Knackstedt Hartz. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary Elizabeth Wyatt Hartz and one great-granddaughter Maisie Potter.

He is survived by a daughter Susan Hartz Caldwell of Los Angeles, CA, two sons Warren C. (Sandra) Hartz, Jr and John (Angie) Hartz all of McKenzie, seven grandchildren David (Liz) Hartz, Sarah (Randall) Todd, Elizabeth Ann (Trent) Potter, Nikki Hartz, Christopher A. (LaBreeska) Hartz, Courtney Caldwell and Brandon Caldwell and ten great-grandchildren Elizabeth, Hannah, Lydia, Wyatt, Braden, Joshua, Izabel, Lilla Kate, Brooks and Thomas.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorials be made to Gideon International and Beating Hearts of McKenzie.
