Funeral Services for Marian Newberry Smith is Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home. Interment is at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. until service time.

Mrs. Smith, age 95, died, Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at AHC McKenzie. She was a homemaker, a member of McKenzie First United Methodist Church, where she was the first church secretary, a Sunday school teacher, a member of the McKenzie Garden Club and the Bethel Dames and a Cub Scout Den mother. She was born on December 6, 1924 in Weakley County to Curtis Brown and Aileen Knox Newberry.

She is survived by her son Dr. Thomas Knox ( Rhonda) Smith of McKenzie, daughter- in-law Dottie Smith of Chattanooga, sister Carol Edmonds of Memphis, four grandchildren Julie(Jamie) Ganz, Mark (Amy) Smith, Chuck Smith and John (Allie) Smith and four great-grandchildren Hadley Smith, Knox Ganz, Gemma Ganz and Findley Smith.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dr. Thomas Howard Smith and her son Dr. William (Bill) Curtis Smith.
