Funeral services for Lottye Ruth Choate are Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday 1:00 p.m. until service time. Interment is at Mt. Olivet Cemetery McKenzie.

Mrs. Choate, 95 years old, died Thursday, January 29, 2025, at her daughter’s residence in Jackson. She is a member of First Baptist Church, and a retired dental assistant for Harold Russell, DDS. She was born in McKenzie on August 27, 1929, to Grady and Mary Morgan Coleman.

She is survived by her daughter Teresa (Don) Matlock of Jackson, a sister Floy Teague of Olive Branch MS, four grandchildren Kelly Maynard, Kim (Billy) Borneman, Brad Davis and Karl (Mary) Davis and nine great grandchildren Brett Sampson, Kelsey Borneman, Amberleigh Cooper, Brandon Cooper, Alex Davis, Kylan Borneman, Brody Davis, Ryan Davis and Eli Davis.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Edward Choate, brothers William Coleman, Johnny Coleman and Jimmy Colemand and sisters Geneva Coleman McDonald and Rebecca Coleman Rauchle.
