Leaverta Juanita Bynum

Dateline: McKenzie, TN   Memorial services for Leaverta Juanita Bynum, 87, will be held Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home with Pastor Steven Kenny officiating.  Cremation was chosen by the family.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 1, 2018 from 12 noon until service time.  Mrs. Bynum, a retired press operator, died Sunday, August 26, 2018 at her residence.  She was born on November 17, 1930 in Truman, Arkansas to Ollie and Clara Lairson Carroll.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Osvaldo Martinez and William Bynum and a son Jerry Barnes.    Survivors include two daughters Mary (Darrell) Karas of Las Cruces, New Mexico, and Darlene Martinez of Trezevant, TN, two sons Terry (Irma) Barnes of Memphis, TN and Dan Martinez of McKenzie, a sister Anna Mae Cooper of Humboldt, TN, a brother Joey Carroll of Texas, eight grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.    Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  For more information please call (731) 352-4848 or visit www.brummittmckenziefuneralhome.com.
