Funeral service for Julia C. Sawyers is 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 22, 2019 at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home. Visitation is Sunday, 12:00 p.m. until service time. Brother Ronnie McClure is the officiant and internment is at Everett’s Chapel Cemetery.

Mrs. Sawyers, 87 years old, died, Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at The Tennessee State Veterans Home- Humboldt. She was born in McKenzie, TN on December 12, 1931 to Othar Strawl and Martha Cleo Hogue Campbell. She is a member of Union Grove Baptist Church and an Antique dealer. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband James Robert “Buzz” Sawyers and two sisters Elizabeth Jones and Thelma Deck.

She is survived by two daughters Franca (Ronnie) Young of Humboldt and Tina (Jeff) Cash of Chehalis, WA, a son Jimmy Sawyers of Collierville, a brother Kenneth (Joyce) Campbell of McKenzie, six grandchildren Joel Young, Shelly (Dave) Holcomb, Cassie (Dewayne) Wingfield, Courtney Sawyers, Clark Sawyers and Ben Sawyers and three great-grandchildren Brody Holcomb, Mason Holcomb and Kenzie Holcomb.
