Funeral Services for James Wray Boyd, age 74, is Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Brummitt – McKenzie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 19, 2019 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, 1:00 p.m. until service time. Brother James Smith will officiate and interment is at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Mr. Boyd, died March 18, 2019 at Baptist Memorial Hospital. He was born April 1, 1944 in Chicago, IL to Leo Clifton and Rubye Mae Gaston Boyd. He is a member of Greenhills Baptist Church, Collierville, TN., and he is a retired Arson investigator for State Farm.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister Jane Moore and a brother Charles Boyd.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-four years Carol Ann Swearingen Boyd of McKenzie, a daughter Patricia and her husband Scott Dawson of Coldwater, MS, a son Mike Boyd (Vickie Moore)of Munford, TN, a brother Jeff Boyd of Maryland, seven grandchildren and one great-grandson.
