Funeral services for Iona C. Dunlap are Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at McKenzie Church of Christ. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 2, 2023 at the church 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Mt Olivet Cemetery McKenzie.

Mrs. Dunlap, 87 years old, died Friday, September 29, 2023 at her residence. She is a member of McKenzie Church of Christ and was a Sunday school teacher for 50 years, a retired retail sales associate and a homemaker. She was born in Newbern on April 5, 1936 to Edward and Jewell Kee Clanton.

She is survived by her daughter Stacie (Greg) Browning of McKenzie, a son Shannon (Janine) Dunlap of Jackson, two sisters Carolyn (Doug) Maddox and Bonnie (Danny) Martin all of McKenzie, four grandchildren Jeremy (Sara) Dunlap, Adam (Lindsey) Dunlap, Tori (Joshua) Mayo and Kori Browning, two great-granddaughters Chloe Mayo and Zoey Porter Mayo and great grandbaby Dunlap.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband William Porter Dunlap.
