Mr. Bateman, 75 years old, died Sunday, September 15, 2024, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. He was born in Trezevant on October 10, 1948, to L.H. Bateman and Arnelle Tate Bateman. He is a retired CPA for the Senior Housing Administration.

He is survived by his daughters Kimber Lee Bateman of Senatobia, MS and Fara (Chad) Sudlow of Germantown, a sister Martha Hopper of Nashville, two brothers Lloyd (Hope) Bateman and Clyde Bateman all of Trezevant, seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

 He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Kathy Pinson Bateman, a sister Ruby Nell Fuller and brother Dwayne Bateman.
