A Funeral service for Paul Merwin, is Monday, December 2, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at McKenzie First Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Sunday at the funeral home 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. and Monday at the church 9:00 a.m. until service time. Interment is at Bethlehem Cemetery, Henry.

Brother Paul “Bud” Merwin, 90 years old, died at his residence on Thursday, November 28, 2024. He is a member of McKenzie First Baptist Church, a retired meat cutter at Kroger and a Minister of the Gospel. Graduate of Bethel College in 1971 with a BS degree. Honorably served in Tennessee Army National Guard 230th, Jackson, TN 1952-1960, Staff Sergeant 230*h Signal Battalion. He was born in Clear Lake, IA on July 12, 1934, to Chauncey and Alice Merwin.

He is survived by his wife Gwendolyn “Tillie” Merwin, a son Jerome (Debbie) Merwin of Wright City, MO. a sister Sara (Ed) Lyon of Memphis, three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his son Mark Merwin, parents and thirteen of his fourteen siblings.
