Funeral Services for Barbara Kay Garner age 75, is Monday, April 8, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, McKenzie. The family will receive friends at the church Monday, April 8, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. until service time. Brother Dennis Trull will officiate. Interment is Thursday, April 11, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park, Tampa, FL.

Mrs. Garner, died April 3, 2019 at Baptist Memorial Hospital. She was born August 18, 1943 in Trezevant, TN to Otis and Eva Mae Cloyd Bateman. She is a member of First Baptist Church and retired from Bank of America as Vice President. She is preceded in death by her parents and step-mother Mary D. Bateman, her husband Charles Garner, Sr, daughter Lisa Garner, and sister Patricia Cheatham.

She is survived by her children Charles Garner, Jr and Julie Garner of McKenzie, two sisters Linda Williams of McKenzie and Carolyn (Jesse) Diaz of Edgewater, FL, two brothers Truman (Trudy) Bateman and Billy Wayne Bateman both of McKenzie, many nieces and nephews and a sister –in-law Sharon (David) Hess of McKenzie.
