It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Adaisha Allen - Helsel, a loving wife, daughter, sister, and friend. Born on August 2, 1995, in McKenzie, TN, to Malcolm Allen and Natarsh Pullum, and stepdaughter to Kelly Allen, she brought light and joy to all who knew her. Adaisha graduated from Huntingdon High School in 2013 and went on to serve her country with pride as a Marine Corps veteran, embodying courage, discipline, and dedication.
After her military service, Adaisha pursued her passion for healthcare by attending the University of Northern Iowa as a nursing student, showing the same dedication to helping others as she did in her service. Her compassionate and caring nature shone through in her studies and her desire to make a positive impact in the lives of those around her.
A free spirit, Adaisha had an adventurous heart and a deep passion for travel. She found joy in exploring new places, immersing herself in different cultures, and creating lasting memories with her loved ones. Her adventurous nature reflected her zest for life and her desire to live each day to the fullest. Those who knew her knows family meant the world to her and she cherished every moment spent with them and will remember her for her infectious laughter, boundless energy, and the light she brought into every room.
Adaisha was also a devoted wife to Koa Helsel, sharing a bond of love and support that will be forever cherished. She was a beloved daughter-in-law to Erica Helsel and Matt Helsel, sister in laws Taryn Viator and Aunja Helsel, and brother-in-law Nyko Helsel forming a close and loving connection with her extended family
She is survived by her 6 brothers: Malik (Sadie) Allen, Malachi (Lauren) Allen, Donovan Harris, Dietrich Rasberry, Micah Allen and Isaiah Allen, and two sisters: Mia Allen (TJ) and Kendra Jordan, who will forever remember her as a caring, supportive sibling. She also leaves behind her beloved grandparents, Debra Allen, Paula Green and Bobby Ray along with numerous nieces and nephews who adored her. Her extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends will forever hold her in their hearts.
Her legacy of kindness, strength, and love will continue to live on through the many lives she touched. Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we celebrate the incredible life she lived and the love she gave to those around her.
Funeral services for Mrs. Allen-Helsel are Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at 9:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at The TN Veterans Cemetery at Parkers Crossroads.
