Dateline: McKenzie, TN Services for Dolores Mary Burgess Allen, 75, will be held Monday, April 20, 2009 at 1:00 pm at Greater Enon Baptist Church with Rev. James Stewart and Rev. Calvin Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 19, 2009 from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm at McKenzie Funeral Home and Monday, April 20, 2009 from 12 noon until 12:50 pm at the church. Mrs. Allen, a employee for The Willow Brook State School in Staten Island, NY and a file clerk for Solomon Brothers Brokerage Firm on Wall Street in Manhattan, NY, died Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at Oak Manor Health Care Center. She was born on November 23, 2009 in Staten Island, NY to the late Nathaniel and Iris Vivian Etheridge Burgess. She was a member of Pentecostal Faith Church of God in McKenzie. She was preceded in death by two brothers Ralph and Nathaniel Bucky and a sister Geneviere. Survivors include her husband of 56 years Rev. Wade Earnest Allen of McKenzie, TN, two sisters Iris Victoria Allen of Brooklyn, NY, Lisa Marie (Ken) Pasichnyk of Jersey City, NJ, two sons Wade (Suzette) Allen, Jr. of Staten Island, NY and Douglas Leroy (Claudette) Allen of Goldboro, North Carolina, one brother Ronald Burgess of Staten Island, NY, three sisters Margaret Burgess of Burlinton, Vermont, Rev. Sylvia Smith of Staten Island, NY, Paulette Rhodes of Orlando, FL eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. McKenzie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
