Dateline: McKenzie, TN Services for Billy Gene Baker, 78, will be held Sunday, October12, 2008 at 2:00 pm at McKenzie Funeral Home with Bro. Dean Doster officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 11, 2008 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Sunday, October 12, 2008 from 11:30 am until service time. Mr. Baker, a retired Staff Sergeant in the US Army and Veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars, died Friday, October 10, 2008 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. He was born on June 8, 1930 in Trenton, TN to the late William H. and Mary Ann Baker. He was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in McKenzie. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister Charles Baker, James Baker and Mildred Flowers Survivors include his wife of 45 years Leesbeth (Betty) Baker of McKenzie, and two sisters Edna Logan of McKenzie and Mary Jane Wilson of Ripley, TN, one brother William J.
