Lawrence Ray Barker

Dateline: McKenzie, TN Services for Mr. Lawrence Ray Barker, 75, will be held Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at 11:00 am at McKenzie Funeral Home with Bros. John Forgy and Greg Barker officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Wednesday, June 24, 2009 from 9:00 am until service time. Mr. Barker, a retired painter, died Sunday, June 21, 2009 at McKenzie Regional Hospital. He was born on October 9, 1933 in McKenzie, TN to Wade and Lola Lester Kelly Barker, Sr. He was a member of Church of Christ and Honorary member of the VFW Post 4939. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wives Betty Sue Pryor Barker and Opal Earline Barker, a son Kenneth Ray Barker, and two brothers Wade Barker, Jr., Norman Gene Barker. Survivors include a son Kim Lawrence (Carol) Barker of McLemoresville, a step daughter Linda Nored of McKenzie, a step son Marshall Thompson, Sr. of LaPlace, La, two sisters Hazel Nele Rainey of McKenzie and Joyce Ann Frazee of Camden and a brother Ronnie Glenn Barker of Paris, six grandchildren and eight great grand children.
