Opal Earline Barker

Dateline: McKenzie, TN Services for Mrs. Opal Earline Barker, 73, will be held Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 2:00pm at McKenzie Funeral Home with Brothers Dennis Beal and Greg Parker officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 18, 2008 from 5:30 pm until 9:00 pm and Saturday, April 19, 2008 from 10:00 am until Service time. Mrs. Barker, a waitress for Higgs Restaurant in Milan, died Thursday, April 17, 2008 at Henry County Medical Center in Paris. She was born on May 2, 1934 in Linden, TN to James Alvis and Addie Viola Paschall Marshall. She was a member of Blooming Grove Methodist Church and a member of the VFW post #4939 Ladies Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents, a step son Kenneth Barker and 8 brothers and sisters John Thomas Marshall, Edward Marshall, Billie Ray Marshall, James Marshall, Ruby Frances Burrow, Mary Lorene Blankenship, Ruth Marshall, and Myrtle Cain. Survivors include her husband Ray Barker, 2 sons Marshall Wade Thompson, Sr. and Kim Barker of McKenzie, a daughter Linda E. Nored and a sister Betty Collins, three grandchildren Marshall Wade Thompson, Jr., Amy Dawn King, Kimberly Hall, two Great Grandchildren Brandon M.
