Dateline: McKenzie, TN Services for Morris Dale Beasley, 68, will be held Thursday, August 27, 2009 at 11:00 am at McKenzie Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Trull officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm and Thursday, August 27, 2009 from 9:30 am until Service time. Mr. Beasley, a builder and involved in the construction business, died Monday, August 24, 2009 at his residence. He was born on February 20, 1941 in McKenzie, TN to Marvin and Bethel Burkman Beasley. He was a member of McKenzie First United Methodist Church and a member of the McKenzie VFW post 4939. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers; Robert Beasley, Wray Beasley and Allen Beasley. Survivors include his wife Beverly Church Beasley of McKenzie, a daughter Michelle and her husband Gary Weirs of McKenzie, a son Rick Beasley of Memphis, a granddaughter Shelby Trevathan and two step grandchildren Garrett and Heather Weirs all of McKenzie, two sisters Sue Barker of Indiana, Joyce McConnell of Knoxville, TN, two brothers Kenny Beasley and Phillip Beasley both of McKenzie, TN.
