Don Owen Berry

Dateline: McKenzie, TN Services for Don Owen Berry, 73, will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at 11:00 am at McKenzie Funeral Home with Revs. Dennis Beal and Dennis Trull officiating. Interment will follow with military honors at Carroll Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 14, 2008 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Tuesday from 9:00 am until service time. Mr. Berry, a retired iron worker, died Saturday, July 12, 2008 at his residence. He was born on August 18, 1934 in McKenzie, TN to Carlos Pratt and Jessie Causey Berry. He was a member of McKenzie First Baptist Church and an US Army Veteran. He was preceded in death by parents. Survivors include his wife Lois Walls Berry of McKenzie, one daughter Paula Townsend of Memphis, one son Ronnie Cooper of McKenzie, four sisters Peggy Sydnor, June Nanney, Cherry Rittenberry, Patty Price all of McKenzie, three brothers Horace Berry, Milton Berry, Toney Berry all of McKenzie, three grandchildren Marvin Townsend of Memphis, Penny White of Florida, Stacy Sullivan of Murfreesboro, TN and one great grandson Oscar Austin Townsend of Memphis.
