Kenneth Ralph Chandler

Dateline: McKenzie, TN Services for Kenneth Ralph Chandler, 80, will be held Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at 2 pm at Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Eric Corbin officiating. Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 2, 2009 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at McKenzie Funeral Home and Tuesday, November 3, 2009 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at the church. Mr. Chandler, a factory worker with Gaines Manufacturing Company, a farmer, and carpenter, died Sunday, November 1, 2009 at Oak Manor Healthcare. He was born on June 19, 1929 in McKenzie, TN to William Amon and Ruth Bell Chandler. He was a member of Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a Veteran of the US Army during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by one brother: Alden Chandler and one sister: Covie Chandler. Survivors include his wife Jane Thomas Chandler of McKenzie, TN. One son: Tommy (Katie) Chandler of McKenzie, TN. Two daughters: Katherine Flippin of McKenzie, TN and Vicky (Barry) Summers of Huntingdon, TN. Two brothers: Rodney Chandler of McKenzie, TN and Wallace Chandler of Indiana. Three sisters: Alice Kirksey of Huntingdon, TN, Rene Miller of Bruceton, TN, and Ivy Smith of McKenzie, TN. Four grandchildren: Gwen Holland, Wendy (John) Burroughs, Molly (Jonathan) Lessenberry, and Lee (Brooke) Chandler. Two step-grandchildren: Brandon Flippin and Caleb Summers. Four great-grandchildren: Grace Holland, Andrew Barton, Wade Chandler, and Ozzy Lessenberry. McKenzie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
