Dateline: McKenzie, TN Services for James Warren Crowder, 80, will be held Sunday, February 8, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Enon Baptist Church with Brothers Richard Allen and Dennis Beal officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery near Trezevant. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 7, 2009 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Sunday, February 8, 2009 from 11:00 am until departure for the church at 1:30 pm. Mr. Crowder, a retired Greyhound Bus Driver, died Friday, February 6, 2009 at McKenzie Health Care Center. He was born on February 7, 1928 in Bowling Green, KY to Chester and Lorane Morgan Crowder. He was a member of the Enon Missionary Baptist Church; he was also World War II veteran of the U S Army Air Corps, later serving in the U S Air Force and the U S Army during the Korean War in the time frame from 1946 thru 1953; he was also a Mason. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and a brother Nina Spense and Charles Crowder. Survivors include his wife of 54 years Margaret Helen Allen Crowder of McKenzie, one daughter Robbin Crowder of Hermitage, TN, one son John Crowder of Zephyr Hills, FL, two sisters Sue Crowder and Ann Crowder both of Lakeland, FL and two grandchildren.
