Thelma Irene Daniels

Dateline: McKenzie, TN Services for Thelma Irene Batton Daniels, 71, will be held Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 2:00 pm at The McKenzie Church of Christ with Brother Jim Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 25, 2010 at McKenzie Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Saturday, June 26, 2010 at the McKenzie Church of Christ from 1:00 pm until service time at 2:00pm. Mrs. Daniels, a retired inspector for Republic Door, died Wednesday, June 23, 2010 from injuries received in an automobile accident. She was born on November 24, 1938 in Ridgely, Tennessee to James Fredrick and Helen Virginia Dail Batton. She was a member of the McKenzie Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her father Fred Batton, a daughter Hope Daniels Cowan and a brother in law Jimmy Ghyers. Survivors include her husband Leonard Wilson Daniels of McKenzie, a son Chris (Stacy) Daniels of Paris, TN, three step daughters: Karen Hopper of Milan, TN, Glynda (Ted) Draper of Trenton, TN, Cindi Wade of Fruitland, TN, her mother Helen Batton of McKenzie, one sister Freddie Ghyers of McKenzie, two brothers Jackie Batton of McKenzie, Bruce (Anita) Batton of McKenzie, seven grandchildren: Micheal Kemp, Heather Call, Ethan Call, Cavan Daniels, Gabrielle Cowan, Hillary Wade, Keely Wade, and two great grandchildren Kreed Halbrook, and Karrigan Wade. Pallbearers to serve: Micheal Kemp, Chad Batton, Shane Hart, Bruce Batton, Jr., Ethan Call, and Tracy Cowan. McKenzie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
