Frances Laverne Drewry

Dateline: McKenzie, TN Services for Frances Laverne Drewry, 86, will be held Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at 11:00 am at McKenzie Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Trull officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Wednesday, September 9, 2009 from 9:00 am until Service time. Mrs. Drewry, a homemaker, a former Milan Arsenal employee, a co-owner of Drewrys Food Center from 1960-1965, and a sales clerk at Medlins Discount Store died Sunday September 6, 2009 at McKenzie Healthcare Center. She was born on March 8, 1923 in Weakley County to Edgar Lee and Evie Cochran Galey. She was a member of McKenzie First Baptist Church and a member of the Caledonia Lodges Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband Harris Drewry. Survivors include two sons: Jerry Lynn (Ann) Drewry of McKenzie, and Donald Keith (Sandra) Drewry, of McKenzie. Three daughters: Judy Kay (Robert) Chandler of McKenzie, Peggy Jane (David) McClure of Kingwood, Texas, and Frances Ann (Wayford, Jr.) Washburn of McKenzie. Thirteen grandchildren: Grant Chandler, Laura Martin, Shannon Drewry, Ryan Drewry, Michael McClure, Wendy Reinwald, Amy McClure, Casey Drewry, Amanda Watson, Kim Scott, Sherrye Washburn, Sarah Moore, and Chuck Washburn, 17 great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and one step great-great grandchild. Memorials may be made to McKenzie First Baptist Church, The Alzheimers Association, The American Cancer Society, or the American Heart Association. McKenzie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
