Dateline: McKenzie, TN Services for Mrs. Christine Smith Fitzgerald, 82, will be held Thursday, September 18, 2008 at 11:00 am at McKenzie Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Edmonds officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 from 4:30 pm until 7:00 pm and Thursday, September 18, 2008 from 10:00 am until service time. Mrs. Fitzgerald, a homemaker, died Monday, September 15, 2008 at Bells Nursing Home in Bells, TN. She was born on September 30, 1925 in McKenzie to the late Ivery and Rosa Lee May Smith. She was a member of McKenzie First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Fitzgerald a former TVA employee and Boy Scout Leader in the Jackson, TN area, a brother Dr. Howard Smith formerly of McKenzie, TN, and a son in law James (Jim) Crowder formerly of Jackson, TN. Survivors include a daughter Diane Crowder of Rolla, Mo, a son and his wife John I. and Kathy Fitzgerald of Humboldt, TN, four grand children and four great grand children.
