Dateline: McKenzie, TN Services for Jimmy Dale Griffith, 72, will be held Thursday, July 2, 2009 at 2:00 pm at his residence with Bro. Joe Eaton officiating. Interment will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery near Bradford at a later date. Mr. Griffith, a former employee for Whirlpool in Benton Harbor, MI, died Friday, June 26, 2009 at Life Care Center in Bruceton. He was born on April 12, 1937 in Central City, KY to Walter (Jingles) and Clara Mae Carpenter Griffith. He was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church and a veteran of the US Marine Corps. He was preceded in death by his parents who were from Central City, KY, one brother Glendon Griffith, five sisters Billie Jean Ewing, Stella Fleming, Dorothy Pate, Margie Wink, Ruby Greathouse. Survivors include his wife Betty Griffith of McKenzie three sons Vincent Griffith of McKenzie, Jimmy F. Griffith of Paducah, KY, Bobby Joe Griffith of Kansas City, KS, five daughters Clara Vance of Beaver Dam, KY, April Tummins of Paducah, KY, Teresa Neihoff of Paducah, KY, Mary Angus of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Tracy Pryor of Murray, KY, 19 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren McKenzie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
