Services for Mrs. Maxine Hopper, 84, will be held Sunday, December 23, 2007 at 2:00PM in the Cedar Avenue Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home with Bro. Tony Wiggins and Benny Douglas Hopper officiating. Interment will follow at New Bethel Cemetery near Henry, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 22, 2007 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Sunday, December 23, 2007 from 11:00 AM until Service Time. Mrs. Hopper, a retired garment factory employee and a Wal-Mart door greeter in Huntingdon died Friday, December 21, 2007 at McKenzie Health Care. She was born on December 03, 1923 in Kenton, TN to Glisson Walter and Nellie Fax Dozier. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband John Hopper and a daughter Nelda June Hopper. Survivors include two daughters Terri and her husband David Rushing of McKenzie, Pasty and her husband Fred Gordon of Louisville, KY, one son Jimmy and his wife Eulene Hopper of Henry, TN. two sisters Billie Perryman of Union City, TN, and Juanita Lane of Kenton. Six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren .
