Dateline: McKenzie, TN Services for MSG (Ret US Army) Hugh Raines Hubbard, 75, will be held Sunday, August 16, 2009 at 2:00 pm at McKenzie Funeral Home with Pastor David Van Wyk officiating. Interment will follow at Tumbling Creek cemetery near Gleason. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 15, 2009 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Sunday, August 16, 2009 from 12 noon until service time. MSG Hubbard, retired from the US Army Special Forces, died Thursday, August 13, 2009 at The Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. He was born on May 22, 1934 in Memphis, TN to George and Sallie Cashion Hubbard. He was a member of Gleason American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife Cheryl McCain Hubbard of McKenzie, a daughter Audrey Clarke of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, a son Grant Hubbard of Fort Lauderdale, FL, a step son Tim Smith of McKenzie, a sister Shirley Atkins of Gleason, a brother Sam Hubbard of Memphis, TN, and four grandchildren.
