Dorothy Faye Irby

Dateline: McKenzie, TN Services for Mrs. Dorothy Faye Gibson Irby, 81, will be held Saturday, September 6, 2008 at 1:00 pm at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church near Huntingdon, TN with Bro. Brian Oakes officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 5, 2008 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at McKenzie Funeral Home and Saturday, September 6, 2008 from 10:00 am until services time at the church. Mrs. Irby, a retired garment factory employee and most recently at Wilker Brothers Pajama Factory, died Thursday, September 4, 2008 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. She was born on January 3, 1927 in Huntingdon, TN to the late Gilford W. Gibson, Sr. and Blanche Reynolds Gibson. She was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church near Huntingdon. She was preceded in death by her parents, her late husband of 52 years Fain Irby, two sons Larry Irby and Gary Irby, two daughters Diane Irby McMinnn and Barbara Mann, and one brother James Gibson. Survivors include a grandson she lived with Chris Irby of McKenzie, three brothers and their wives Harold and JoAnn Gibson of McKenzie, Junior and Catherine Gibson of McKenzie, David and Margie Gibson of Huntingdon, three other grandchildren Sandra Mann of Huntingdon, Joe Mann of Tampa, FL and Melonie Mann Jones of Southern Pines, North Carolina and four great grand children.
