Willie Mildred Boyd Johnson

Dateline: Cedar Grove, TN Formerly of McKenzie Services for Mrs. Willie Mildred Boyd Johnson, 91, will be held Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at 1:00 pm at Twin Oaks Baptist Church, 1565 Hwy 104 N/ Cedar Grove, TN with Bros. Gary Lee Carter and Sherman Curtis Boyd officiating. Interment will follow at Christian Chapel Cemetery in Leach, TN. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 1, 2008 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm at McKenzie Funeral Home and Tuesday, December 2, 2008 from 10:00 am until service time at the Twin Oaks Baptist Church. Mrs. Johnson, a retired employee for the Henry I. Siegel Company in Trezevant, died Saturday, November 29, 2008 at Huntingdon Health and Rehab Center. She was born on August 19, 1917 in Scotts Hill, TN to Vester Lee and Lizzie Goff White. She was a member of Twin Oaks Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands Sherman Boyd and James Johnson, three sons James Earl Boyd, Jasper Lee Boyd, and Roger Dale Boyd, and a brother F.L. White. Survivors include a daughter Billie Faye Broadway of Cedar Grove, TN, a son Sherman Glenn Boyd of Atwood, TN, two sisters Leathe Manness of Missouri and Vernell Britton of Memphis, a brother Odell White of Lexington, TN, nine grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren McKenzie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
