Rev Earlie G. Lassater

Dateline: McKenzie, TN Services for Brother Earlie G. Lassater, 91, will be held Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 2:00 pm at McKenzie Funeral Home with Bro. Ray Forrest officiating. Interment will follow at Blooming Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 30, 2009 from 4:30 pm until 8:00 pm and Saturday, January 31, 2009 from 12 noon until service time. Bro. Lassater, a retired Baptist Minister and retired employee of 26 years for Martin-Mariettas Oak Ridge Y-12 plant, died Monday, January 26, 2009 at his residence. He was born on December 14, 1917 in Greenfield, Tennessee to William Jefferson and Verdie Odell Moseley Lassater. He was a member of Caledonia Missionary Baptist Church in McKenzie, a member of the Union #718 in Oak Ridge, TN, and a Mason in the Masonic lodge in Andersonville, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Frances and Sue and three brothers William Harold, James W. and Charles. Survivors include his wife of 69 years Nettie Lucille Brawner Lassater of McKenzie, a daughter Linda Jean Moore of McKenzie, two sons and their wives Joe Lyn and Sandra Lassater of Knoxville, TN, Charles Wayne and Chung Lassater of Krebs, Oklahoma, a sister Mary Lou Webb of McKenzie, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
