Sgt First Class (Ret) Wayne Derrioll Mar

Dateline: McKenzie, TN Services for Sgt. First Class (Retired) Wayne Derrioll Marr, 68, will be held Friday, August 14, 2009 at 2:00 pm at McKenzie Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Andrews officiating. Interment will follow at Finley Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 13, 2009 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Friday, August 14, 2009 from 10:00 am until service time. Mr. Marr, a Carpet Installer for Morris Carpet in McKenzie, died Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at his residence. He was born on April 9, 1941 in Sidonia, TN to Emmett Derrioll and Annie Lee Doster Marr. He was a Pastor and member of Community of Christ Church, a 23 year member and retired Sgt. First Class Tennessee National Guard, Boy Scout Leader and Scoutmaster for 17 years, Chaplin for the McKenzie Fire Department, he was also a member of the Tennessee Defense Force and Tennessee State Guard. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Henry Clay Marr, three sisters Virginia Cobb, Martha Milliken, Ruth Davidson and his step father Foster Gallimore. Survivors include his wife of 42 years Barbara Ann Mullins Marr of McKenzie, two daughters Kimberly Dawn Marr of McKenzie, Heather Lawrence (David) Hitt of Martin, TN, two sons Timothy Wayne (Melodie) Marr and Anthony Lee (Margaret) all of McKenzie, three sisters Joesphine Watts of Martin, Wanda Foster of McKenzie, Mary Ann Harris of Clarksville, five grandchildren Brennan Chase Marr, Brady Lee Cashion Marr, Chole Lexxus Hitt, Ashton Drake Marr, and James Andrew Marr. .
