Dateline: McKenzie Services for R C Morgan, 88, will be held Wednesday, May19, 2010 at 3:00 pm at McKenzie Funeral Home with Brothers Dennis Beal and Dewayne Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Carroll Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Wednesday, May 19, 2010 from 10:00 am until service time. Mr. Morgan, a retired carpenter, died Saturday, May 15, 2010 at McKenzie Regional Hospital. He was born on March 22, 1922 in Huntingdon, TN to Paul and Lillian Birmingham Morgan. He was a member of VFW Post # 4939, he was a WW II US Army Veteran where he received the Purple Heart. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wives Marie Hodge Morgan who died in 1987 and Katherine Robertson Morgan who died in 2004, a daughter Kathy Morgan Anderson, a son Paul Edward Morgan, a grand daughter Lisa Marie Morgan, four sisters: Ann Aylor, Mary Lee Alexander, Vernice Ervin, and Betty Jean Runions, two brothers: Jimmie Morgan and Eugene Doc Morgan Survivors include three daughters: Faye Presley, Phalecia (Danny) Marbry, Retha (David) Luna, a son Charles Morgan all of McKenzie, ten grandchildren: Lisa Jualonda, Regina Carol Bryant, Christy Renee Mealer, Angela Dawn Hones, Randy Lynn Anderson, Tammy Wynette Rivera, Gary Lynn Marbry, Michelle Renee Marbry, Alecia Kay Morgan, Lisa Marie Jaime-Luna and 28 great grandchildren.
