Lavada M. Prather

Dateline: McKenzie, TN Services for Mrs. Lavada May Prather, 79, will be held Thursday, June 26, 2008 at 2:00 pm at McKenzie Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Beal officiating. Interment will follow at Caledonia Cemetery near McKenzie. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Thursday, June 26, 2008 from 12 noon until Service Time. Mrs. Prather, a retired Milan Arsenal Ammunition Plant employee, died Monday, June 23, 2008 at Henry County Medical Center in Paris. She was born on January 13, 1929 in Atwood, TN to Felix and Ervie Gibson Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Robert Laurence Prather who died January 30, 2008 and a daughter Jana Elizabeth Hodge. Survivors include four sons Robert S. Prather of Dresden, Stephen E. Prather, Terry D. Prather, and Jerry Prather all of McKenzie and her daughters three daughters Amanda, April, and Nina all of McKenzie, Seven grandchildren and six great grand children, two sisters Addie Gallimore and Martha Merrill both of Dresden.
