Dateline: McKenzie, TN Services for Mrs. Martha Louise Blackburn Presson, 86, will be held Thursday, December 18, 2008 at 12 Noon at McKenzie First Baptist Church with Bros. Dennis Trull and Kenny Carr officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at McKenzie Funeral Home and Thursday, December 18, 2008 from 11:00 am until service time at the church. Mrs. Presson, a homemaker, died Saturday, December 13, 2008 at her residence. She was born on October 30, 1922 in McKenzie, TN to Robert Thomas and Erin Barnes Blackburn. She was a member of McKenzie First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 52 years Herman Warren (Red) Presson and a brother Robert Blackburn. Survivors include two sons and their wives Robert (Bob) Hampton and Leila Presson of Baton Rouge, LA, Herman Wayne and Janet Presson of Mt. Vernon, Ill., a former daughter in law Pam Kelly, a brother Morris Blackburn of Paris, TN, grandchildren Greg and Sherry Presson of Champaign, Ill, Cathryn Presson of Baton Rouge, LA, Kent McQueen of Fort Leavenworth, KS, and Chris McQueen of Evansville IN Memorials may be made to McKenzie First Baptist 619 Stonewall Street, McKenzie, TN 38201.
