James Thomas Pruitt

Dateline: Gleason, TN Services for James Thomas Doodle Pruitt, 61, will be held Monday, May 19, 2008 at 10:00am at the McKenzie Church of Christ with Bro. Jim Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 18, 2008 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at McKenzie Funeral Home and Monday, May 19, 2008 from 9:00am until Service time at the McKenzie Church of Christ. Mr. Pruitt, retired from CSX Transportation, died Thursday, May 15, 2008 at his residence. He was born on October 29, 1946 in McKenzie, TN to Thomas Wilburn and Evelyn Pittmon Pruitt. He was a member of McKenzie Church of Christ and member of the Gleason American Legion and was a US Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife Deborah Kay Helms Pruitt, a daughter and her husband Kristie and Brent Arnold , a son Thomas Randall Pruitt, and five grandchildren Madison, Jacob, and Allison Arnold, Kyleigh and Lauren Pruitt. Memorials may be made to The St. Judes Children Research Hospital or to LeBonheur Childrens Hospital both in Memphis, TN. McKenzie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
