Services for Mary Evelyn Scott, 78, will be held Friday, April 7, 2006 at 2 p.m. in the Cedar Avenue Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Beal officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 6, 2006 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Friday, April 7, 2006 from 10 a.m. until Service Time. Mrs. Scott, a homemaker, died Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at her daughters residence in Dresden. She was born on March 23, 1928 in Carroll County to the late Bennie and Sara Dodd Bradford. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband- James Clayton Scott. Survivors include one son- Jimmy Scott; 2 Daughters- Barbara Bush and Teresa Goodrum; 2 Sisters- Mildred Baker and Ethel Mae Lee; Special Children- Donna Bradford Prather, Lloyd Bradford, Sara Bradford Tucker and Ronnie Bradford; 12 Grandchildren; 3 Step Grandchildren; 7 Great Grandchildren and 7 Step Great Grandchildren. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society Relay for Life for Carroll North or Hospice of West Tennessee.
