Dateline: McKenzie, TN Services for Rebecca Holmes Smith, 91, will be held Sunday, June 27, 2010 at 4:00 pm at McKenzie Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Harber and Bro. Billy Robinson officiating. Interment will follow at McLemoresville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 27, 2010 from 1:00 pm until service time at 4:00 pm. Mrs. Smith, a Christian and homemaker, died Friday, June 25, 2010 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City, TN. She was born on May 21, 1919 in McLemoresville, TN to Ewen Bedwell and Dollye McKinney Holmes. She was a loving and devoted mother and wife. She was preceded in death by her husband James Vernon Smith, a granddaughter Lori Robinson, and her twin sisters Mary Bennett and Elsie Grove.. Survivors include three daughters Mrs. Janice Robinson and her husband Billy of McKenzie, Mrs. Debby Cox and her husband Jimmy, and Donna Smith all of Tiptonville, TN, one son James Kenneth Smith of McKenzie. She is also survived by six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren. McKenzie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
