Dateline: Henry, TN Services for Lydia Lavenia Snider, 84, will be held Saturday, January 24, 2009 at 2:00 pm at McKenzie Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Caledonia Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 23, 2009 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Saturday, January 24, 2009 from 10:00 am until service time. Mrs. Snider, a retired factory worker from Brown Shoe Company in McKenzie and Wen-Su Manufacturing Company in McKenzie, died Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at McKenzie Healthcare Center. She was born on November 16, 1924 in Henderson, TN to Leonard and Lillie Lee Schultz Fletcher. She was preceded in death by her husband: that she married June 26, 1943 Willie Ray Snider; a son: Glenn Snider; a daughter: Judy Morris; and a great-grandson: Alexander Blake Snider. Survivors include three sons: Billy Snider of Henry, Danny and his wife Charlene Snider of Gleason, and Larry Snider of Henry. Three daughters; Norma and her husband Terry Travis of Paris, Mary and her husband Lloyd Lewis of Henry, and Barbara McKinney of Paris. One son-in-law: Gary Morris of Como, TN. One sister: Nina Sue Muse of California and 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. McKenzie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
