Demetra Bogle Steele

Dateline: Lavergne, TN formerly of McKenzie Services for Demetra Steele, 77, will be held Monday, January 18, 2010 at 11:00 am at McKenzie Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 17, 2010 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Monday, January 18, 2010 from 9:00 am until service time at McKenzie Funeral Home. Mrs. Steele worked in retail sales, died January 14, 2010, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro, TN. She was born on April 29, 1932 in McKenzie, TN to Thomas W. and Kathleen Haddock Bogle. She was a Baptist in faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles Edward Steele, two brothers: Steven Bogle and J.K. Bogle, three sisters: Mildred Aitleen, Novacine Scott, and June Ownby. Survivors include a son Charles Edward Eddie (Amy) Steele, II of Smyrna, TN, a daughter Lisa Carol Steele of Lavergne, TN, three sisters: Eloise Garner of Spring Hill, TN, Glenda Hodges of Gleason, TN, Mary Jo Vaughn of Nashville, TN, two grandchildren: Christopher Joe Loper of Springfield, TN, and Austin Edward Steele of Smyrna, TN. .
