Dateline: McKenzie, TN Services for Mrs. Brenda Kay Stone, 65, will be held Thursday, September 4, 2008 at 2:00 pm at McKenzie Funeral Home with Bros. Claude Prince and Clay Langston officiating. Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Thursday, September 4, 2008 from 10:00 am until Service Time. Mrs. Stone, a homemaker, died Monday, September 1, 2008 at her residence. She was born on June 27, 1943 in Greenfield, Tennessee to Dorothy Bates Thorne and William Thorne, Jr. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in McKenzie. She was preceded in death by her mother Dorothy Bates Thorne and a grandson Tyler Thomas. Survivors include her husband of 48 years Walter Stone of McKenzie, two daughters and their husbands Tina and Ronnie Parkins, Traci and Terry Thomas all of McKenzie, TN, three sisters Elaine Berry and Pam Bell both of Milan, Sandra Cook of Bradford, TN, her father Will Thorne, Jr. of Bradford, three grandchildren Travis Coleman and Kaylin Thomas of McKenzie and Jonathon Thomas of Louisiana .
