Betty Sue Townsend

Dateline: McKenzie, TN Services for Mrs. Betty Sue Townsend, 74, will be held Saturday, July 12, 2008 at 4:00 pm at McKenzie Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Holmes and Bro. Bobby Mann officiating. Interment will follow at Everetts Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 11, 2008 from 4:30 pm until 8:00 pm and Saturday, July 12, 2008 from 12 noon until Service time. Mrs. Townsend, a retired clothing manufacturing employee at Wilker Brothers, Bill Sills, Public Shirt, and HIS companies died Thursday, July 10, 2008 at McKenzie Regional Hospital. She was born on November 20, 1933 in McKenzie, TN to William Onzie and Bessie Grace Thomas Harris. She was a member of Concord Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by four sisters Carnice Stone, Desi Hale, Dola Berry, Ethel Clark and one brother Johnny (Bill) Butler Harris. Survivors include two sons Ralph Townsend and Randy and his wife Cheryl Townsend all of McKenzie five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. McKenzie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
