Josie Virginia Riley Funeral services for Josie Virginia Riley will be held Thursday, November 4, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the McKenzie Funeral Home Chapel in McKenzie, Tennessee. Interment will follow at the Everetts Chapel Cemetery in McKenzie, Tennessee under the direction of McKenzie Funeral Home. Josie V. Riley was born June 17, 1927 in McKenzie, Tennessee to George "Doc" Aylor and Ceceil (Sherrod) Aylor. She passed away Sunday, October 31, 2010 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 83. Mrs. Riley grew up in the McKenzie area of Tennessee having graduated from Gleason High School in Tennessee. She married George Edward Riley July 1, 1948 in McKenzie, Tennessee. Mrs. Riley and George had been residents of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma for the past 30 years. She was a loving housewife who enjoyed reading, cooking, gardening and traveling. Mrs. Riley was also a former member of the Oak Haven Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee. She is preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Teresa; and two brothers, William W. and Clarence Aylor. Survivors include her husband George E. Riley of the home in Broken Arrow; two sons, Jerry Riley and wife Denise of Okemah, Oklahoma and Michael Riley of Broken Arrow; Julie Dodson and husband Kenneth of Collierville, Tennessee; one sister, Allie Thompson of Russellville, Alabama; 8 grandchildren, Ashley Fisher, Brian Riley, Jimmy Parish, Paige Lee, Ryan Riley, Jessica Riley, Brandon Dodson, and Deanna Weaver; and 10 great-grandchildren.
