Carlo Ognibene

Dateline: McKenzie, TN Services for Carlo Ognibene, 89, will be held Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 11:00 am at McKenzie Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Barker officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 4, 2010 from 9:00 am until the service time at 11:00 am. Mr. Ognibene a former employee of Zenith Electronics, died Thursday, December 2, 2010 at McKenzie Regional Hospital. He was born on January 25, 1921 in Chicago, Illinois to Giorgio and Anna Promeio Ognibene. He was Catholic and was a pitcher for the Chicago Cubs in his younger years. He was preceded in death by his wife Grace Rose Ognibene who died October 23 2010, and a nephew George Ognibene. Survivors include a niece Beulah Ognibene of McKenzie, and great nieces and nephews: George and Jennifer Ognibene of McKenzie, Patricia and Steve Cothran of Milan. A step daughter Joann Downs of Washington State, and two step sons John Bonfiglio of Chicago, IL, Ralph Bonfiglio of St. Louis, MO. McKenzie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
