Dateline: McKenzie, TN Services for William Sherrill Pratt, 73, will be held Thursday, December 23, 2010 at 11:00 am at McKenzie Funeral Home with Brothers Howell Gossett and Freddie McDaniel, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Republican Grove Cemetery near Trezevant. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Thursday, December 23, 2010 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. Mr. Pratt, retired from the Milan Arsenal Ammunition Plant, a former City of McKenzie Parks Department worker, a former member of the Carroll County Rescue Squad, and an owner of a small engine repair shop, died Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Regional Hospital of Jackson. He was born on September 16, 1937 in Trezevant, TN to William Leroy "Bill" and Jane Montez Blackburn Pratt. He was a member of Concord Baptist Church and was a member of Tennessee Army National Guard for nine years. He was preceded in death by his father Bill Pratt. Survivors include his wife of almost 51 years on December 25th, Jane Foster Pratt of McKenzie, two daughters Ginger (Billy) Phifer, Becky Riggs, a son Brian (Jennifer) Pratt, his mother Montez Pratt, a sister Jane (Kenny) Carrell all of McKenzie; ten grandchildren: Jonathan Wheat, Samantha Wheat, Nicholas Riggs, Ashley Riggs, Janna Pratt, Savannah Pratt, Austin Pratt, Autumn Pratt, Celinas Phifer, Kaitlin Phifer, and one great grandson Bryant Lee Ward.
