Dorris Neal Rainey

Dateline: McKenzie, TN Services for Dorris Neal Rainey, 80, will be held Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 1:00 pm at McKenzie Funeral Home with Brothers Steve Boone and Gale Davidson officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 18, 2011 from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Saturday, February 19, 2011 from 10:00 am until service time. Mr. Rainey, a former wholesale jobber for C.H. Summers Company in McKenzie and later self employed selling in southeastern West Tennessee, a former owner of Rainey Grocery in Milledgeville, TN and a manager of the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store in Savannah, TN, died Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at his residence in McKenzie. He was born on May 13, 1930 in Lake County, Tennessee to Omer and Roberta Cole Rainey. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters Susan Drewry Daniel, Jeanette Moore, a granddaughter Tonya McMackins and a brother Dwight Rainey. Survivors include his wife of 38 years Patricia Rainey, three daughters Marcia (Jerry) Baucum of Gleason, Linda McMackin of Gleason, June (Mike) Bridges of Enville, TN, one son Jeff Rainey of McKenzie, TN, one sister Betty King of McKenzie, TN, one brother Delbert (Doris Ann) Rainey of Dresden, 11 grandchildren: Katye Boone and Laura Boone both of Scotts Hill, TN, Derick (Candace) Boone of Darden, TN, Jason (Kechia) Baucum of McKenzie, Cory (Renee) Baucum of McKenzie, Casey Drewry of McKenzie, Amanda (Ricky) Watson of McKenzie, Kim (Nicky) Scoot of McKenzie, Tasha (Chris) Mayo of McKenzie, Chad Rainey of Huntingdon, Brian (Amanda) Prather of Fort Hood, TX, 16 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
