Dateline: McKenzie, TN Services for Shirley Louise (Frye) Collins, 83, will be held Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 10:00 am at McKenzie Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Old Friendship Cemetery near Finger, TN. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Wednesday, March 16, 2011 from 8:00 am until service time. Mrs. Collins, a homemaker, seamstress, and caretaker for the elderly, died Saturday, March 12, 2011 at McKenzie Heath Care Center. She was born on October 16, 1927 in Bemis, Tennessee to Jacob Lockard and Gracie Cleo Wilson Frye. She was a lifetime member of the Women's Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 4939. She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years Diamond Collins. Survivors include a daughter Phyllis (John) Hawkins, four sons: Larry Collins, Diamond (Gina) Collins, Tony (Beth) Collins, Laird (Jennifer) Collins; two sisters: Linda Dunaway of Jackson, TN and Joyce Lott of Henderson, a brother Billy (Jewell) Frye of Finger, TN, 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other dearly loved relatives.
