Dateline: McKenzie, Tennessee Services for Preston Gene Adams, 61, will be held Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 2:00 pm at McKenzie Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 29, 2011 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Saturday, April 29, 2011 from 11: 00 am until service time. Mr. Adams, an expedited delivery driver, died Thursday, April 28, 2011 at his residence. He was born on January 23, 1950 in Dyersburg, TN to Aaron Preston and Pazzetta Steward Adams. He was a member of the Rocking "R" Club in McKenzie. He was preceded in death by his father, a sister Linda Kay Hayes, and a brother Terry Adams. Survivors include his wife of 31 years Sandra Lea Davis Adams of McKenzie, two daughters Lori Ann Adams of Halls, TN and April Lea McCaslin of McKenzie, two sons Gene Dewayne Adams of Whiteville, TN and Darrell Eugene Lowery, Jr. of McKenzie, his mother Pazzetta Adams of Dyersburg, one sister Sandra Pruitt of Dyersburg, TN, five brothers Hollis Adams, Earl Dean Adams, Ricky Adams, Billy Adams all of Dyersburg, Donnie Adams of Halls, and 17 grandchildren.
