Dateline: McKenzie, TN Services for Charles Duane Ridley, 84, will be held Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at 2:00 pm at McKenzie Funeral Home with Eric Corbin, Randy Thompson, Kenny Carr and Pat Driskell officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Military Honors. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 23, 2011 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Tuesday, May 24, 2011 from 10:00 am until service time. Mr. Ridley, retired from Kentucky and Tennessee Clay Company in Gleason, TN, died Sunday, May 22, 2011 at Henry County Medical Center in Paris, TN. He was born on April 21, 1927 in McKenzie, TN to Otto and Ila Mann Ridley. He was a member of The Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Betty Jo Rochelle Ridley, a sister Ruth Ridley Carr, a brother Frank L. (Bobby) Ridley, and a step grandson Andrew Carson. Survivors include his wife Opal Ruth Johnson Phifer Ridley of McKenzie, two daughters Cathy (Christopher) Willi of Leesburg, VA, Angela Ridley of Nashville, TN, a son Stephen (Sharon) Ridley of Nolensville, TN; nine step children Roger Phifer of Lexington, TN, Alicia Dodd of Camden, TN, Nelda (Tommy) Ridley of Camden, TN, Gary (Elizabeth) Phifer of Camden, TN, Anita Barton-Benefield (John Benefield) of Bruceton, TN, Debra (Jerry) Cobb of Huntingdon, TN, Nancy (Brent) Eubank of Huntingdon, TN, Jackie Phifer of Paris, TN, Jimmy (Kris) Phifer of Jackson, TN; a sister Joyce (Bill) Driskell of Athens, AL, a brother Joe (Mary Lou) Ridley of McKenzie, TN; five grandchildren Robert Ridley, Stephanie Ridley, Justin Ridley, Sara Marie Willi; 16 step grandchildren Julie (Jeremy) Campbell, Barry (Vickie) Phifer, Jennifer Phifer, Jeremy Phifer, David Dodd, Michael Dodd, Jason Dodd, Kelly (Daniel) Cooper, Christopher Barton, Chelsey Cobb, Kyle Phifer, Lindsey Eubank, Rachel Phifer, Justin Phifer, Nick Phifer, Ariel Phifer; 15 step great grandchildren Makenzie Carson, Brylee Campbell, Madison Phifer, Adam Phifer, Morgan Phifer, Allie Phifer, Grant Phifer, Danielle Dodd, Julie Dodd, Ashley Dodd, Jeremiah Dodd, Emily Dodd, Ben Dodd, Addison Wilson, and Madisyn Barton.
