James Delmar Crawford, III

Dateline: Fort Myers, Florida Services for James Delmar Crawford, III, 67, will be held Friday, September 2, 2011 at 2:00 pm at McKenzie Funeral Home. Interment will follow with Military Honors at New Prospect Cemetery near Greenfield, TN. The family will receive friends on Thursday September 1, 2011 from 5:00pm until 8:00 pm and Friday, September 2, 2011 from 11:00 am until service time. Mr. Crawford, a Correctional Officer, died Sunday, August 28, 2011 in Fort Myers. He was born on March 22, 1944 in Pittsburgh, PA to James D. Crawford, II and Kathie Strothman Crawford. He was a Vietnam War veteran serving in the United States Marine Corps during 1962- 1966 being discharged as a Sergeant. He was preceded in death by a stepson David Boaz formerly of McKenzie and a sister Barbara Beggs. Survivors include his wife Peggy J. Mayo Crawford of Ft. Myers, FL formerly of McKenzie, a daughter Jamie Miller of Winter Haven, FL, two sons Jimmy Crawford and Jason Crawford both of Winter Haven, FL, a step daughter Paula Kolasa of Kansas City, MO, a stepson Chris Boaz of McKenzie and a sister Pat Gillespie of Pittsburgh, PA.
