Dateline: Spring Creek, TN Services for Curtiss Wayne McKinney, 66, will be held Monday, September 5, 2011 at 10:00 at McKenzie Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Bailey officiating. Interment will follow at Antioch Cemetery nears Halls, TN at 2:00 pm Monday September 5, 2011 with Military Honors. The family will receive friends at McKenzie Funeral Home on Sunday, September 4, 2011 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Monday, September 5, 2011 from 9:00 am until service time. Mr. McKinney, a Disabled Vietnam Veteran, died Friday, September 2, 2011 at his residence. He was born on March 2, 1945 in Jackson, TN to Curtiss Wilbur and Mary Lucille Barlow McKinney. He was Baptist in faith, an US Army Vietnam War Veteran Specialist 5th Grade (E-5) serving from July 1966 to July 1969 with the 3rd US Army and until July 1972 in the US Army Reserves, a member of Vietnam Veterans of America and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife of 30 years Patricia Sasser McKinney of Spring Creek, TN, four daughters Vickie Hajek of Oklahoma, Patricia Owen of Henry, TN, Crystal McKinney of Memphis, TN, Amanda Hurst of Jackson, TN, five sons Jon McKinney of Atwood, TN, Brian McKinney of Las Vegas, NV, Curt McKinney and Clint McKinney both of Jackson, Dominic Klein of South Dakota, three sisters Marilyn Rouse of Virginia, Darlene Tate of Jackson, TN, Linda Summers of Gleason, TN, and 15 grandchildren.
