Dateline: McKenzie, TN Services for Helen Virginia Batton, 90, will be held Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 2:00 pm at McKenzie Church of Christ with Brother Jim Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at Mt Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 9, 2011 from 4:30 pm until 8:00 pm and Saturday, September 10, 2011 from 11:00 am until service time, all visitation will be held at the church. Mrs. Batton, a homemaker, died Thursday, September 8, 2011 at McKenzie Healthcare Center. She was born on January 12, 1921 in Ridgely, TN to Houston and Cora Lee Moore Dial. She was a member of the McKenzie Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 72 years James Fred Batton, a daughter Irene Daniels, and a granddaughter Hope Cowan. Survivors include a daughter Freddie Ghyers, two sons Jackie Batton and Bruce (Anita) Batton all of McKenzie, six grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren.
